Linn County Emergency Medicine (LCEM) A democratic emergency medicine group that consists of all board-certified or board-eligible physicians. LCEM has been in existence since 1994, serving the needs of emergency patients at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We are an independent group, focused on quality patient care. We utilize a management partner, PSR that specializes in providing business and practices services to independent emergency physician groups. We also have an excellent group of Advanced Practice Providers that work side-by–side with us in our Fast Track and main Emergency Department. Mercy is a 445-bed, Level III Trauma Center, nationally recognized for excellence in patient care. The newly designed state-of-the-art emergency department has 28 beds with 8 Fast Track rooms and a combined annual patient volume of 55,000.
