Design Space Modular Buildings is set to acquire industry competitor Instant Space, Inc. and all of their mobile offices and modular building assets. The terms of the deal are not final but will be completed during the 3rd quarter of 2016. FONTANA, CA (PRWEB) AUGUST 09, 2016 Design Space and Instant Space, Inc. have reached an agreement for Design Space to purchase all of Instant Space’s mobile offices and modular building assets. Instant Space is a regional competitor and supplier of mobile offices in southern California. The company began by manufacturing, leasing and selling mobile offices more than 30 years ago. Instant Space has since ceased manufacturing, so this acquisition includes only the mobile office rental fleet, active leases, and associated assets. The lease fleet size is estimated between 100-200 units. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, but it should be completed during the 3rd quarter of 2016. Design Space will merge the Instant Space fleet and leases into their southern California branch operation which is based in Fontana, CA. Design Space serves markets throughout the western U.S. with pre-manufactured office buildings and storage units. Their primary product line consists of mobile office trailers, modular buildings, storage containers, and container offices. These products can be used to meet immediate and temporary space requirements, or Design Space can meet long-term needs with permanent modular construction. The Instant Space buildings will augment their current short-term rental fleet.
