Pregnancy, Birth and Baby is available seven days a week over the phone, video call and website making it easier for parents to access the support they need. Pregnancy, Birth and Baby helpline Pregnancy, Birth and Baby supports parents on the journey from pregnancy, to baby and pre-school. We offer guidance and reassurance about behavioural and development concerns such as tantrums, walking, talking or reading for children up to 5 years of age. Pregnancy, Birth and Baby is available seven days a week over the phone, video call and website making it easier for parents to access the support they need. The telephone number is 1800 882 436 (free from landlines). Pregnancy, Birth and Baby provides free, non-judgemental emotional support and reassurance. We provide guidance on children’s growth, behaviour and development and are able to refer parents to local services. Our midwives/maternal child health nurses work with parents to ensure the health and wellbeing of their children and family. At this time, the service is only available to people located in Australia. Who provides the support and guidance at the Pregnancy, Birth and Baby service? The Pregnancy, Birth and Baby maternal child health nurses are both midwives and registered nurses who have tertiary (university) qualifications and experience working with parents and families of children from birth to five years of age. What to expect from a call with the maternal child health nurse? The Pregnancy, Birth and Baby service is non-judgemental and uses a model of practice that is inclusive of your family to guide the service provided. Midwives/maternal child health nurses will discuss with the caller their concerns providing guidance and reassurance on a range of topic areas including:

Visiting Pregnancy Helpline Sharing Center Our Sharing Center offers free baby items for women and families.  Find baby clothes newborn through size 4 as well as free diapers, formula, books, toys, breast pumps and equipment (strollers, high chairs, bathtubs, etc.).  All items are donated and our stock varies each week.
